| KOCHI: DUTCH CEMETERY |
After visiting the St Francis church, famed for being the first resting place of the famous Portuguese traveller, Vasco da Gama, Visitors go to the nearby Dutch cemetery which is currently being operated under the Churches of South India(CSI). The cemetery was established in 1724 and therefore it is one of the oldest cemeteries existing in India. It has a number of tombstones having inscriptions in Dutch and the records of the people who are buried in this cemetery is available in the St. Francis Church.
From the Ernakulam junction (South) railway station this place is only around 6 km and around 27 km away from the Cochin International Airport.
